English Education in East Asia Research Project
Welcome to our Web site. The English Education in East Asia Research Project was started by a group of English professors and researchers who are members of the Kyushu-Okinawa Chapter of JACET (Japan Association of College English Teachers). The project aims to develop comparative research on English education in East Asia and to enhance academic and cultural exchange between researchers and students in the region. Researchers in the project began by focusing mainly on China, Japan, and Korea, but have since expanded the scope of research to include Taiwan, Hong Kong, and a number of countries in Southeast Asia. We, the members of the project, hope that this Web site will be useful to all teachers, researchers, and students who are interested in English and foreign language education in Asia. This Web site is always under construction, and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
